10 Most Brutal Comic Book Villains

9. Judge Death

Sin City
2000 AD

You could probably guess someone's not a good dude if they have the word death in their name, and that is indeed the case for 2000 AD's Judge Death.

The leader of the sinister Dark Judges, Sidney - yes, to his pals Judge Death's real name is Sidney De'ath - is one of the most despicable villains in comics. Positioned as Judge Dredd's greatest nemesis, Judge Death and is chilling visage always have evil intentions in mind.

Judge Death has been a scary presence since his formative years, where the young Sidney developed a fascination with the very concept of death. In fact, so obsessed with death did he become, the Judge Death-to-be began to view life and existence as being a crime in and of itself.

Due to this morbid viewpoint, Judge Death gleefully wiped out the entire population of Deadworld as a way to get his kicks. For you see, not only is Judge Death a horrible, murderous being, but he also likes to mock, taunt, and quip wise while he's carrying out his atrocious acts.

Thankfully, Judge Death has famously had to "gaze into the fist of Dredd" - but that hasn't taken away from Death's maniacal ways and skewed approach to the world.
