10 Most Brutal Daredevil Battles In Marvel History

9. The Yakuza - Daredevil Vol. 2 #57

Daredevil Vs Kingpin
Marvel Comics

In Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev's run on Daredevil, the hero had his secret identity exposed to the world and the Kingpin decided to take advantage of this new development and put an end to his foe. After a series of attempted hits on Murdock and his loved ones, the hero had enough of the crime lord's machinations, viciously beat him, and took his title as the Kingpin.

After taking over Hell's Kitchen's criminal element, Matt ensured that all gangs and criminals would cease their activities or they would met with brutal consequences (using the badly beaten Fisk as an example).

Naturally, this new status quo angered the wrongdoers and they wished to wrest control from the new boss, the Yakuza chief among them.

A hundred of the gangsters attack Murdock in the streets of Hell's Kitchen and the hero makes quick work of them, defeating them all in an astounding three minutes. What makes this feat impressive (in addition to the sheer number of men Matt had to fight) is that he did not take a single life in the process, and some Yakuza enforcers were temporarily super-powered as well.
