10 Most Brutal Daredevil Battles In Marvel History
5. Typhoid Mary And His Rogues Gallery - Daredevil #260
One of Daredevil's most underrated and compelling villains, Mary Walker has limited psionic abilities and three separate personalities. Her personalities are so distinct that Matt himself cannot identify her using his superhuman senses. Due to her abilities and unpredictable nature, she is an excellent assassin and foil for Daredevil.
Matt got a firsthand experience of her volatility in Ann Nocenti and John Romita Jr.'s run on Daredevil, where Walker assembled several villains from the hero's rogues gallery - such as Bullet, Bushwacker, Ammo and the Wildboys - in order to kill Murdock at the behest of Kingpin (who Mary was romantically linked to at the time).
Taking advantage of Daredevil's handicap (he barely survived an explosion prior to the attack), the villains viciously beat the hero within an inch of his life before Mary threw him into a river. Fortunately (and expectedly), Matt survived the ordeal and went on to have a complicated and problematic dynamic with Walker.
