7. Bullying His Only Friend
Judge Dredd lives to work, only sleeping 10 minutes a day with the aid of sleep machines and spending the rest of his day pounding the streets of Mega City One, leaving him little time for a social life.
It wasn't always this way though. Before the introduction of sleep machines Dredd had an apartment he would spend his off time in with his landlady Maria and his friend Walter. Walter was a robot first introduced in the early story arc "Robot Wars" as a comedic foil for Dredd. As his mincing man servant with a "hilarious" speech impediment Walter the Wobot (no really) absolutely sucked. Even Dredd himself openly despised him, belittling him at every opportunity.
Still, it was unnecessarily cruel when Dredd kicked him out onto the streets. All he wanted to do was be Dredd's friend and he was a major fixture of the comic in its first year. An embittered Walter would later lead a short lived robot rebellion, even shooting Dredd himself.
To be honest he had it coming.
