10 Most Hated Retcon Changes In DC Comics

2. Who Are The Legion Of Super-Heroes? - Literally Every Decade

The Legion of Super-Heroes are one of DC's more obscure teams, but they're by no means unloved. The team from the 30th and 31st centuries have commanded a devoted following for literal decades, but despite starring in a multitude of fantastic comics, DC have often allowed the Legion to fall to the wayside in favour of pursuing different teams.

Still, no shortage of reboots and rejigs have tried to bring the group back, and while a lot of them are enjoyable, it's meant that the Legion have found themselves in a similar position to Hawkman; no one knows what is and isn't canon anymore.

There've been stories about clones, pocket dimensions, and even fully fledged based on new incarnations of the team altogether. Even Mark Waid, who presided over the main Legion book in 2005, was frustrated in his efforts to tell a compelling Legion comic when the team from the eighties was reintroduced - supposedly without his say-so.

There was an explanation for how all of these different incarnations of the Legion could exist at the same time, but it's so confusing that you'd honestly be better off just watching the Far From Home episode from Justice League Unlimited.
