8. Pet Avengers
Thanos is one of the most powerful villains in the Marvel Universe. A Mad Titan whose destructive plans can only be thwarted by the combined might of all Earth's heroes. One time he got beaten up by a group of animals.
The Pet Avengers were assembled in their own miniseries by the Inhuman's dog Lockjaw. After the Mind Gem boosted his intelligence, Lockjaw assembled a team of other heroic animals to help him find the other Infinity Gems.
The team included Kitty Pryde's pet dragon Lockheed, Falcon's falcon Redwing, Speedball's cat Hairball, Throg, the Frog of Thunder and Ms. Lion, Firestar's dog from the Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends cartoon (and also a boy). They were later joined by the sabre-toothed tiger Zabu and even Barack Obama's dog Bo.
The Pet Avengers managed to gather all six gems, but were then attacked by Thanos who killed Ms. Lion. The other pets were able to defeat him though and used the Infinity Gems to send Thanos to another dimension. Then they used the Soul Gem to resurrect their fallen friend.
The series ended with the pets handing the gems over to Mr. Fantastic and going their separate ways. However, the experience created a psychic link between the team so that they can always assemble
