10 Most Interesting X-Men You've Never Heard Of
5. Kid Omega
During Grant Morrison's New X-Men, the Xavier Institute once again opened its doors to young mutants. One of the new batch of students was a boy named Quentin Quire.
Quentin's incredible psychic abilities and genius intelligence made him stand out from the other students and he soon became Xavier's prize pupil. However, he was also unpopular and frequently bullied. That, coupled with his parent's revelation that he was adopted, caused him to snap. Dubbing himself Kid Omega and organising other students into the Omega Gang, Quentin started a riot at the Xavier Institute. The chaos only subsided when he seemingly died.
Kid Omega would return though and when Wolverine set-up the Jean Grey Institute, he offered Quire a chance to redeem himself as a student. Despite his villainous past and refusal to accept authority, Quire proved himself as a student, helping the X-Men on numerous occasions and forming a close bond with Wolverine. He eventually graduated and became an assistant at the school.
Quentin eventually quit the X-Men though, after seeing a future version of himself die. Shaken by the experience and determined to avoid his fate, he left the Jean Grey Institute and became the White King of the Hellfire Club. Kid Omega then isolated himself from the rest of the superhero community and hasn't been seen since.
