10 Most Powerful Avengers Villains Ever

5. Korvac

Marvel Comics

Korvac is another villain who was just too crazy for his own good; all the infinite power under his command, and he couldn't handle it because he didn't have both his oars in the water.

Originally just a computer technician from the year 2997, Korvac's body was grafted onto a computer by an alien race called the Badoon, which basically turning him into a cyborg.

Eventually he found himself in the present day of the regular 616 Marvel U, and in the presence of Galactus. Get this - he actually managed to download Galactus' knowledge, and in doing so was imbued with the Power Cosmic itself. After a standardly long-winded, convoluted turn of events, he ended up fighting the combined might of the Avengers while seriously losing his sh*t. He actually killed scores of them, eventually killing himself when he thought he had lost the trust of his one true love.

Before he died, he brought back all the Avengers (and Guardians Of The Galaxy) back to life, releasing the power cosmic from his body. Again, it was an example of a character simply too great to exist. Although he's returned a couple of times since, it's always with less power and easier ways of defeating him in place - without writers having a villain resort to killing themselves to remove them from the board.
