10 Most Powerful Characters Killed By Blade

5. Draconis

Blade Vampires
Marvel Comics

After traveling back in time at the behest of Doctor Doom, Blade fulfilled the first part of a prophecy by releasing his captured father, Lucas Cross. Upon his return, Doom gave Eric an elixir that would supposedly cure his thirst for human blood. Cross captured his son, starved him, and attempted to get him to feed on a young virgin girl to fulfill the second part of the prophecy. Blade bit his own hand off and left the girl untouched.

When Blade returned to England, he uncovered a group of vampires running illegal weapons. He killed them and took their guns. This alerted powerful vampire priest Draconis. The priest attacked the Daywalker and was able to defeat him in their first outing as he had spent decades building up an immunity to being staked in the heart.

Blade regrouped, researched the priest, and asked for assistance from fellow Borderline Investigations member and vampire Hannibal King. This time, Blade fed on Draconis to make him easier to kill. Unwittingly, he fulfilled the second half of his father’s prophecy.
