In another example of family dysfunction endangering the entire planet, Thor and his allies were faced to deal with another rampaging Asgardian from a bygone era. This particular relative, his uncle Cul, aka Serpent, was able to achieve what no one else on this list was able to do: kill Thor.
Banished to the depths of the oceans by Odin millennia ago, Cul was recovered by the Red Skull's daughter Sin (who was at the time possessed by Cul's daughter Skadi) and used the weapons of his former group the Worthy to empower various mortals with the intent of taking over the Earth and eventually Asgard.
The possessed Worthy attack different cities across the planet, and the fear from these events empower Cul and he creates his own version of Asgard in Antarctica. After this, he reveals that he is destined to kill Thor, which he does but dies at the hands of his nephew at the same time.
In addition to the standard physical capabilities (strong enough to break Captain America's shield), Cul was adept in using mystical energies and feeding off the fear of his opponents.
