The most powerful version of the Man of Steel is the one who's been around the longest. The Superman of the 853rd century is actually the Superman of the 20th century, though he left Earth sometime in the late 21st century after everyone he cared about had died.

During his travels, he made his way across the Universe, and it's said that he even passed into the barriers of Heaven and Hell, but he would return one day to his beloved Earth. After 700 years, Superman came home, and by this time, he was empowered far greater than ever before.

He gave a fraction of his new abilities to his descendants, so long as they agreed to serve truth and justice. When this was complete, he went to the Fortress of Solitude, which was at this point at the center of the Sun. When Solaris threatened everything in the 853rd century, he emerged from the star after 15,000 years of solar hibernation.

Because he gets his powers from solar radiation, his time inside the sun transformed him into a stellar, golden god. His powers were so enhanced, there isn't a scale that would do them justice, so just imagine his strength, speed, and more are set to a level that could only be described as infinity plus one.
