10 Most Powerful Supervillains You’ve Never Heard Of

4. Tezcatlipoca

Mikaboshi Marvel
DC Comics

Aside from possessing an impressively long name, Tezcatlipoca was well known in the Bronze Age of Comics for being an enemy of Wonder Woman, and even better known for being an actual Aztec trickster god.

Really, it's unclear why the creative team behind Wonder Woman abandoned use of him as a villain, given that he works perfectly as a foil to the strong and forthright hero by being a conniving master of illusions. Despite this, we literally haven't seen Tezcatlipoca since the Crisis on Infinite Earths series, which was now over thirty years ago.

Even any concerns about insensitive use of the Aztec god could easily be cleared by having him charactered as less of an outright villain, and more of a god at war with other gods and their various offspring - which would be pretty accurate to the mythology in the first place.
