10 Most Unexpectedly Powerful DC Villains

6. Chronos

Since he was a child, David Clinton was obsessed with clocks. (In the comic world, if you like clocks, you have to become a time-themed villain. Those are the rules.)

Anyway, Clinton became Chronos and carried out crimes using time-based weapons like a sandstorm hourglass, a spear-shooting watch, and a clock-belt that launches buzzsaws.

Chronos became the true master of time when he created technology that allowed him to time-travel. Not only can Chronos travel to the past and future but he can decelerate or accelerate time, reverse time, or freeze it completely.

Although Chronos is a baddie, he isn't evil. He just wants to be respected for his work (and make a few billion while he's at it). It's a good thing he isn't as dark-natured as the Joker or Lex Luthor or he could use his chronokinesis to rule the world.

Marvel Comics has a similar time-travelling villain called Kang the Conqueror who used time-travel to take over the United States and erase superheroes from existence. If Chronos utilised his power to its full potential, he would be a force to be reckoned with.
