10 Powerful DC Comics Endings That Gave You Chills
8. Terra's Funeral
It's a little strange to include this on here when Terra's role in the Judas Contract is to bring about the demise of the Teen Titans, but her death and the subsequent funeral is a great example of how to get people to feel empathy for a villain.
The fact is that she's nothing more than a patsy in Deathstroke's never-ending quest to destroy the Titans, and that he manipulates her mentally and physically by starting a love affair with a fifteen-year-old girl *shudder* to do whatever he wants. This means that she shouldn't be held responsible for her actions, no matter how bat-s**t crazy she is by the end.
There's no denying that she has just as much hatred for the group as Slade but if it isn't for his treatment of her then there's a huge doubt she would ever act on her own initiative and when she's killed off it seems that the Titans agree.
At her funeral, there's a lot of tears and the Teen Titans bury her as a hero In doing this they decide to never let her family know that in the end Terra was a bad guy even if it wasn't all her fault.
