10 Reasons Being A Comic Book Fan Is Bad For Your Health

8. You Can Find Yourself Hopelessly Isolated

Being a comic book fan is a pretty solitary hobby, which is why the crowds of Comic-Con can be such a peculiar experience. Reading comic books can see you spend countless hours in peaceful solitude, which despite being enjoyable, can also be unhealthy. Your mind is a delicate device, and spending so long without outside communication can be hazardous to say the least. You become so engrossed and involved in the comic book stories that you can find yourself entirely forgetting about the outside world - maybe you will miss a meal or two, or you could easily find yourself alienating friends by constantly forgetting about text messages you were meant to reply to. It is entirely possible that reading comic books will completely isolate the reader, threatening their mental acuity and social lives. It is not healthy to spend so much time alone, even if that time alone is enjoyable. Don€™t let yourself forget about the outside world, and don€™t get too involved in the comic and all will be fine.
