10 Reasons To Be Excited For DC's New Age Of Heroes

6. The Immortal Men

Where Dark Nights: Metal added layers to DC's past and in-depth history and cosmology, The Immortal Men will continue it.

One of the most interesting aspects to DC's Dark Nights: Metal has been the building of a secret history and secret science to the DC Universe in the form of the Dark Multiverse and the many special metals connected to it.

Well, in The Immortal Men, James Tynion IV (who himself has played a big part in Metal) and Jim Lee himself will be keeping that idea going, building on the secret history of the DCU with secret sects and cabals of immortal beings who have been pulling the strings all this time.

With two warring factions of immortals in play, one heroic and one more villainous in nature, the Immortal Men will be led by classic DC character Immortal Man. We've been promised some wild and bizarre new characters, and the early designs and sketches that Jim Lee's revealed so far definitely seem to live up to that.

As the warring clans, the House of Action and the House of Conquest, and their diametrically opposing views of how to push humanity toward the future clash, it could be the title that really holds some hints to the future of the DCU in it.
