10 Reasons To Look Forward To Doomsday Clock

2. Superman Vs. Doctor Manhattan...'Nuff Said

Okay, 'Nuff Said' is more of a Marvel thing, but you know what we mean.

Superman, the Man of Steel, facing off against Doctor Manhattan, the man who walks like a god. The Last Son of Krypton smacking down with the atomic hero of a nuclear era. The Big Blue Boy Scout vs. the Big Blue... Penis.

Yup, it's a helluva match-up, and even with Superman at his most absurd Silver Age strengths, capable of moving whole planets around and the such, it's hard to imagine how he could face off against a being that can see all of time at once, and can erase your existence at an atomic level with a thought.

It's a conflict that is so above expectations of ever happening, that fans will surely be in for a real treat.

And what if there's more to the conflict than we know, which seems likely.

Often if Geoff Johns' big events and stories, he's involved one character: Superboy Prime. A Superboy from the 'real world' where all these other superheroes are comic book characters, he went mad in Infinite Crisis and has been a terror to the DC Universe ever since, though has been out of action for a while.

Or has he? After all, if he's from the 'real world', then the Watchmen are just comic book characters to him too... perhaps he can manipulate them just as much as he can the heroes of the DC Universe. Perhaps the big bust up at the centre of Doomsday Clock is going to be more complicated than we might initially expect.
