10 Ridiculous Superhero Vehicles You Won't Believe Exist

9. The Flying Batcave

Spider-Man the Spider-Mobile
DC Comics

Back during the Silver Age of Comics, Batman scored some truly strange devices and vehicles, but the weirdest of them all has to be the Flying Batcave. The massive helicopter came about when some legal trouble meant the Dynamic Duo were no longer allowed to plant their feet in Gotham City.

This left a power vacuum in the city, and the criminal underworld took full advantage of the lack of costumed crimefighters. Batman has always been a genius, and it didn't take long for him to realize that if he couldn't walk in Gotham City, he'd simply fly above it.

Enter the Flying Batcave, which is exactly what it sounds like. Picture a massive helicopter with a huge canopy bubble. The Caped Crusader and his Boy Wonder had no issue flying over the city in their mobile crime lab, which also had its very own mini-Batmobile and trophy room (Yes, the giant penny was in there as well).

The best thing about this monstrous contraption is that it was only used twice, and seeing as it probably put a massive dent in Bruce Wayne's wallet, it just goes to show that nothing costs too much for Batman in his pursuit of justice.
