The penchant for utilising scientific equipment or for putting extreme security protocols in place for the Batmobile have already been touched upon, but Batman has added so many more wonderful toys and tricks to his cars since that very first vehicle made its bow alongside the World's Greatest Detective back in 1939.

When looking at the history of gadgets incorporated into the Batmobile, there's been a laundry list of nifty extras made available by the Dark Knight, Alfred, Harold (yes, Harold), and any other souls who've tinkered with one of these vehicles.

Readers have seen a slew of gizmos and appliances housed within one of these many, many cars. That can be anything from a gas mask, a spare Batsuit, a phoneline straight to the GCPD, an inflatable dinghy, an ejector seat, a grappling hook and missiles, to a link-up to the Justice League, and a stupid amount of other quirks and tools of assistance.

The Batmobile has been a constant of the Batman comics, movies, TV shows, animated series, video games and more - and each and every one of the multitude of Batmobiles seen have featured their own unique add-ons.
