10 Sickest "Jokes" The Joker Ever Pulled

4. Skinned A Guy - Joker

Batman Joker War
DC Comics / Brian Azzarello

Taking a leaf out of Heath Ledger's jokebook, Brian Azzarello and Lee Bermejo re-imagined the Clown Prince of Crime as a scarred gangster maniac in the 2008 graphic novel 'Joker'. This largely Bat-free book focuses on the titular character as viewed through the eyes of one of his hapless goons.

Low-level thug and chauffeur Jonny Frost sees a lot on his travels with the Joker; not least his treatment of gangster Monty, who he quite literally skins alive.

Emerging from a shady nightclub backroom, Joker incorporates poor Monty into his latest standup performance, throwing him onstage for all to behold in his skinless g(l)ory.

Shockingly, this doesn't put Frost off too much, and the thug sticks with Joker all the way to the end, even as he rapes Frost's wife and attempts to use him as a protective shield against the Batman. This is audience participation, Joker style. What did you expect?
