4. Clayface Feud
The Joker cares a lot about his image, with the villain often going to great lengths to protect it. The Jester of Genocide will often go to great lengths to get revenge on those who have besmirched his image in any way, as the episode ‘Joker’s Wild’ from Batman: The Animated Series proved.
In this episode, the Clown Prince of Crime broke out of Arkham after he saw that a local businessman had opened up a casino in the Joker's image.
It is this use of his image that led to a feud between Clayface and the Joker, as Clayface had started committing crime disguised as the Joker. After hearing that Clayface had been impersonating him while committing crimes, the Joker decides to impersonate Clayface and uses his own shape-shifting costume to get revenge on the shape-shifting villain.
The Joker believed that his infamous criminal reputation was being ruined by someone committing crimes that were far beneath him, both in terms of theme and scope.
