10 Strongest Versions Of Spider-Man

2. Ghost-Spider (Earth-11638)

Not all Spider-Men are as heroic as the Spider-Man of Earth-616, and the Ghost-Spider is a prime example.

In a universe where Uncle Ben survived his mugging and became jaded, he taught his nephew to become ruthless in order to prosper. This Spider-Man used technology from his company, Parker Technologies, to bring Spider-Men from the multiverse in order to take their power and become the strongest hero in his universe. After a confrontation with 616 Spider-Man, 11638 Spider-Man dies and goes to hell for his countless killings. Fortunately, the Sorcerer Supreme (Bruce Banner) gives Peter the chance to redeem himself and binds him with spirits and powers of the repentant damned to become the Ghost-Spider.

We don't get to see the full extent of Ghost-Spider's abilities, but we can infer that he has the powers of both Spider-Man and Johnny Blaze's Ghost Rider. So, alongside the regular spider-powers, he can conjure and manipulate Hellfire, the Penance Stare, Supernatural Awareness, Demon Magic Manipulation and more. Ironically, Ghost-Spider may have become more powerful in death than in life.

The Ghost-Spider has not been used much within the Marvel multiverse, with his most recent role being an unlockable skin in the fantastic PS4 Spider-Man game. It's a concept that has clear potential though - it wouldn't be difficult to see readers enjoying the chance to see the alternate Earth through Peter's eyes as he adjusts to his new role as the Ghost-Spider, with all the mystical and demonic elements that come with it.
