10 Superheroes Who Are Too Arrogant For Their Own Good

1. Guy Gardner

Hal Jordan may be cocky, but there€™s only one Green Lantern who€™s the epitome of douchiness and deserves the #1 spot on this list: Guy Gardner. Although Hal received Abin Sur€™s ring, Guy was designated as Hal€™s replacement and handled the Lantern duties while Hal was out of commission. These days, with all the Lanterns the Earth has, Guy serves as a regular Green Lantern. While he has an abundance of willpower, Guy is one of the brashest and most arrogant punks the Corps has ever seen. He€™ll pick a fight with anybody, whether it€™s an alien who€™s attacking innocents or someone who makes a snide comment about him at a bar. In his earlier appearances, Guy would also frequently advertise himself as Earth€™s greatest Green Lantern, something which got him into arguments with Hal. Of course, the arguments weren€™t solely with his fellow Corpsman. As a member of the Justice League International, Guy was at odds with several of his teammates, most notably Batman. This came to a head when Guy, sick of Batman€™s leadership, challenged the Caped Crusader to a fistfight, and it ended in seconds with Guy being quickly socked in the face. Batman was able to do what many DC fans had wanted to do for years, and we€™ve been jealous ever since. Although he€™s been calmed down in recent years (although that Red Lantern ring he€™s wearing right now isn€™t helping), Guy will always be primarily recognized for his bravado and self-importance. He may be a great superhero, but that doesn€™t make his attitude any less annoying.
