10 Superman Moments That Shocked The World

2. The Death Of Doctor Light - Trinity War

For the most part, seeing Superman kill somebody is a rarity - even more-so when the corpse in question is that of a fellow hero. And that’s what makes the acts of 2013’s Trinity War crossover event all the more shocking.

With heroes battling heroes, this New 52 take on Superman majorly oversteps the mark in a jealous rage that would make a Blue WKD-fuelled possessive 20-year-old proud.

Keep in mind that this version of Superman was romantically involved with Wonder Woman, and when Light accidentally unleashes a burst of energy at Diana, Kal-El over-steps the mark a whole lot.

Overreacting ever so slightly, Supes aims his heat vision at Doc Light and pretty much melts his head into nothing. But then this was just one of many missteps made with the doomed New 52 changing of the DC landscape.
