10 Supervillain Replacements That Outshone The Originals
2. Harry Osborn - Green Goblin
Most Spider-Man fans agree that Norman Osborn is the iconic rendition of the Green Goblin. The first to carry the title, he has been a throne to the Web-Head's side and is responsible for causing so much pain such as the death of Gwen Stacey. But after Osborn's demise, it would be his son, Harry that would take the mantle.
Now Harry's already had a rough life, becoming a drug addict during his breakup with Mary Jane Watson but his fate would take a turn for the worse upon transforming into the iconic supervillain.
His turn as the Goblin would be emotional taxing due to his friendship with Peter Parker. In one occasion, Harry even kidnaps MJ, Aunt May, and Flash Thompson with bombs strapped to their heads. The character would then have an on-and-off relationship under the mantle - forgetting he was Goblin and then remembering it all over again.
In the end, however, Harry Osborn would choose to do the right thing during his final confrontation with Spider-Man, when he decides to rescue Mary Jane and his son, Normie. Harry then succumbed to the Goblin Formula but would make peace with Peter before he died.
