10 Terrible Comic Book Moments That Could Have Been Saved With One Simple Twist

3. Gwen Stacy Sleeps With Norman Osborn

Perhaps one of the most painful moments to remember in the entire annals of comic history is when, for reasons unfathomable, it was decided that there'd be a plot line where Norman Osborn slept with Gwen Stacy, and this tryst results in twins.

While on some level, this weird relationship of sorts does make sense - as both Gwen is at a vulnerable point in her life, and sees Norman as someone going through the same stuff, bringing the bizarre pairing together - it's just weird. Any comic that contains a panel of Norman Osborn boning down is officially too weird to ever take seriously, as he's the comic equivalent of your geography teacher - I.E, someone whose sex life you don't want to know about, let alone have to learn about for plot related purposes.

Given Norman is no stranger to bypassing people's personal boundaries, it seems like this could have been avoided by just having him steal Gwen's DNA to craft some kiddies, instead of "treating" us to comic's creepy uncle getting his very own sex scene - with a woman his son dated, no less.

I like my comics like I like my coffee - in huge, unquestionably unhealthy doses.
