2. Nightwing Unmasked Before The World

In Forever Evil # 1, Nightwing was returning Victor Zsasz to Arkham Asylum. He loses his comlink with Barbara Gordon and instead hears a voice say “This World Is Ours.” A flying woman rips the doors off Arkham just as a man in a cape and cowl punched Dick in the face. Nightwing prepared to return the attack when a barbed lasso wrapped around his neck and he was yanked up in the air. The two unknown people decided that Grayson “will do”, as they take him away.

The super-powered people are revealed to be the Crime Syndicate from Earth-3. They mostly ruled their planet unopposed and apparently crossed over to the Prime Earth to do the same. The Syndicate had been busy, assembling a veritable army of villains including the inmates of Arkham Asylum and the Flash’s Rogues.

Dangling the bound and beaten Nightwing in front of the assembled villains and televising it on media they controlled, Superwoman peeled off Nightwing’s mask and revealed his identity, driver's license, and other papers as Richard Grayson. The Syndicate promised to find everyone and everything connected to Dick or anyone who got in their way. Meanwhile, the members of the Justice League had seemingly disappeared.
