10 Terrifying Comic Supervillains (Who Only Appear Once)

Batzarro - or as he liked to call himself, the World's Worst Detective - was the opposite of Batman in every way. Some ways were silly, like how he wore his utility belt and bat symbol upside down, and his pockets inside out. And instead of being quiet and contemplative, Batzarro tended to speak his mangled thoughts out loud.

Most of these things would make Batzarro harmless, but what made him a villain was his approach to crime. Unlike Batman, who wants to save innocent people from violent crime, Batzarro did the opposite. He murdered his own parents. On top of that, he spent his nights gunning down pedestrians walking through Crime Alley.

He did have some redeeming qualities though. He saw Batman as his idol and came to his end when he jumped in front of a bullet to save Batman. Batzarro may still exist in some DC universe out there, but readers have yet to encounter him again.
