10 Things About Superman That Make No Sense

9. That Time Clark Kent Became A News Anchor

A frequent occurrence in the superhero genre is the idea of a secret identity- and as one of the most famous superheroes of all time, Superman has had one of the most well-known secret identities of all time. Among ordinary humans, Superman is really the Daily Planet reporter Clark Kent - who's not nearly as famous as his co-worker Lois Lane.

This situation is ideal for Clark, however, because it allows him a sense of privacy, and offers less of a chance of being recognized as Superman. Come 1971, however, this would be severely threatened by Clark’s career transition into television as a news anchor.

Logically speaking, having Clark's face on TV would allow for more opportunities to compare his face to Superman’s, which would risk exposing his identity as Superman. Ultimately, this would do more harm than good for Superman overall.
