Not everyone has heard of Ant-Man as a concept, full stop - although the fact that a movie is coming out based on the hero has helped matters - but those outside of the comic book community who have heard of him have generally only heard of Hank Pym. A few people may also have heard of Scott Lang - again, this will have been greatly helped by the fact that Paul Rudd's titular character will indeed be the Scott Lang version - but very few will know that there is also a third incarnation of the tiny hero. In addition to Pym and Lang, there is also Eric O'Grady. O'Grady was a low-level agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. who stumbled upon the Ant-Man suit in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s headquarters and used it for selfish purposes - lying, cheating and stealing his way to becoming a "hero". That said, he did ultimately die a hero - utilising his powers to save a child from the villain "Father" and perishing in the process.
