10 Things Everyone Always Gets Wrong About Venom
3. Their Favourite Food Is Brains

Part of the outcry for Sony's Venom to be more violent stemmed from this desire to see the hulking alien devour their prey in far gorier detail.
Venom's love of brains is definitely touched upon in the latest film, with the symbiote constantly wanting to devour their victims, however, it is not actually the brains that Venom craves. It is a chemical within them called phenylethylamine that the symbiote needs to survive.
Fortunately for anyone who finds themselves up against Venom, comic book Eddie Brock discovered that the very same chemical can be found in chocolate, and it soon became the favoured treat for Spidey's nemesis.
This snacking allowed Brock and Venom to come to more of a compromise on their intentions and act as an anti-hero. However, I regret to inform you, Tom Hardy's interpretation of the character doesn't come to the same realisation at any point in the film. But, hey, there's always the sequel!
