10 Things Everyone Always Gets Wrong About Wonder Woman

4. She's Weak Sauce

DC ComicsOne of the other totally spurious, unfounded and frankly insulting reasons people don't think this Amazonian goddess is quite up to the standards of the likes of Batman and Superman is that they simply don't think she's as powerful. Which is bad enough when you consider that the Dark Knight doesn't even have superpowers himself - his power is that he's so rich he can do anything he wants - and that, impressive though the Man Of Steel is, he doesn't have the powers of a god. Which Wonder Woman does. Several of them, if you'll recall. So she's a literal goddess, okay. She has the beauty of Aphrodite, the wisdom of Athena, the speed of Hermes and the strength of Hercules, along with the ability to communicate with Gaega - also know as THE EARTH ITSELF - Athena€™s military prowess, enhanced senses and ability to talk to animals from Artemis, and can astrally project herself into various lands of myth. Also she's now Zeus's daughter, so we guess she can also fire lightning bolts too? And turn into animals to knock up various people she's not married to. That's one of his essential god-like abilities, isn't it? Anyway, none of that would be worth a fig if she didn't do anything good with her powers. Which she does. We're pretty sure she could take down Superman, and she actually has taken down Batman in a brilliant (but sadly out of print) story called The Hiketeia. Look, if you can't take Wonder Woman seriously as one of the most powerful members of the DC Universe after seeing this, we don't know what to tell you. DC ComicsDC Comics
