Brian Bendis and Sara Pichelli created Miles Morales -- the biracial teenager who would become the new Ultimate Spider-Man -- to much fanfare in 2011. The media coverage was far-reaching, and when the books finally hit the stores, they were a success. Bendis and Pichelli had birthed a fully-realized and wonderfully endearing character that instantly became a favorite of many readers.

With the news that the Ultimate Universe was folding, many feared for Morales's future, but good news has emerged. Miles will be coming to the new Marvel Universe and taking his place as the main Spider-Man of Marvel Comics. Moreover, his creators will be the regular team on his new title, simply dubbed "Spider-Man."

Readers won't need to wait long to see Morales interact with his new reality. Not only is he a member of the "All-New, All-Different Avengers," but Bendis has stated that Peter Parker will play a role in the "Spider-Man" book -- so much so that, according to the writer, the first 12 issues will function as a sequel to 2012's "Spider-Men" miniseries. The two heroes will become reacquainted, and fans will get to know Miles in a whole new setting.
