10 Things We Learned From Marvel's August Solicitations
3. Thor #16 Will Spark The Beginning Of The End For War Of The Realms And For Jason Aaron
When Jason Aaron took over Thor back in 2012, nobody could've predicted how perfect his run on the book would be. So, when it was announced that he would be leaving the comic after the War of the Realms storyline, an arc he's responsible for, it was met with much wailing and gnashing of teeth from fans all over the globe.
But, it looks as if he's going out on top, with War of the Realms heading towards becoming the greatest Marvel event ever.
Thor #16 will be the beginning of the end for him and he seems to be leaving in style:
"Thor has disappeared! That’s all we can say without spoiling the epic, Midgard-shattering conclusion of WAR OF THE REALMS –but trust us, you won’t want to miss this issue, which is the kickoff of Jason Aaron’s final Thor story!"
With Mike Del Mundo providing the artwork, as he has been for a while now, and with very little to go on, as the conclusion of this epic tale is a more closely guarded secret than the Colonel's secret recipe, it's probably safe to say that even though you won't see what's coming, it will be worth the wait.
