10 Things We Learned From Marvel's June 2019 Solicitations

4. Spider-Man's Life Story Heads To The Nineties

The first issue of Spider-Man: Life Story drops this Wednesday, and it's quickly shaping up to be one of Marvel's most exciting books this year.

Written by Chip Zdarsky and with art from Ultimate Spidey alum Mark Bagley, Life Story takes a linear approach to Spidey's life beginning with the 1960s. Issue by issue, the duo will show how Spidey changed from decade to decade, and June specifically looks as though it'll dwell on the nineties.

Telling a Spider-Man biography through the lens of each decade's milieu is a complete masterstroke of a premise, and the synopsis for the fourth issue only makes it sound more interesting.

"Spider-Man’s life enters the 1990s! The COLD WAR is no longer cold as PETER PARKER returns to a world gone MAD! But will he let that madness infect HIM and his family?"
