10 Things We Learned From Marvel's September Solicitations

8. Superior Spider-Man Is Going To Fight Spider-Osborn

Carnage (Of The Absolute Variety)
Marvel Comics

Dan Slott's creation of the Superior Spider-Man has come a long way since his introduction - going from basically a major shake-up of the Spidey landscape to his own hero, complete with his own ongoing title.

During Spider-Geddon, a story that acted as a sort of sequel to Slott's Spider-Verse, another Spider-Man villain was given the powers of the hero - this time it being Norman Osborn, AKA the Green Goblin. Unlike Octavius, this character remained basically as villainous as usual, with him abandoning all of the other Spider-Totems on Earth-616 to face off against the inheritors.

It was hinted at the end of this event that this version of Osborn would return... and now he has. Christos Gage, who wrote Spider-Geddon, has been penning this Superior title from the beginning so now the writer will finally be tying up one of the threads he left hanging.

Judging from what's been shown so far, this battle should be a fun one to witness and an interesting follow up to one of the most bombastic Marvel events in recent memory.
