That wasn't the only time Barbara Gordon was to grace our screens. A Batgirl of another sort appeared in the Joel Schumacher monstrosity Batman & Robin, played by Alicia Silverstone from Clueless in an uncharacteristically charmless performance as Alfred's niece who stumbles upon the Batcave when visiting her butler uncle. That was less than inspiring. She's set to be a part of the upcoming Titans TV series being developed for TNT as well, but in that case she's most likely to appear in her non-Batgirl guise as Oracle. That's how Barbara appeared in the mostly-forgotten Birds Of Prey show as well, alongside Black Canary (no better known for her appearances in Arrow) and the aforementioned Huntress. Warner Bros took a chance on the series after Smallville proved to be a hit. They didn't want to go all-in with a prequel Batman show that came later, unfortunately and instead opted to adapt cult comic hit Birds Of Prey, about three of his female supporting cast teaming up to kick ass. Dina Meyer played her as Oracle, the wheelchair-bound brains to her team mates' brawn.
