The relationship between Scott, Jean Grey, and their teammate Wolverine is the most famous love triangle in Marvel, and features in almost every adaptation of the comics. Cyclops and Wolverine have been rivals since the latter was introduced, both within the team and for the affections of Jean. Although the pair have grown to be fast friends in the intervening years, the rivalry has remained as they have competed over pretty much everything. Over the years, some fans have read even further into the relationship, suggesting that Jean may simply be a place-holder for an unresolved attraction between the two. To many, the Schism between the X-men was basically a bad breakup between Scott and Logan. All-New X-men took this one further by introducing X-23, Wolverine's hot, teenage female clone, to the team. The series quickly established a romantic attraction between the younger Scott and Laura, much to the horror of Cyclops's older counterpart. Although the pair have shared a few romantic moments, the books have cooled the relationship somewhat, with Cyclops spending a few months in space and X-23 starting a relationship with Angel.
With a (nearly) useless degree in English literature and a personal trainer qualification he's never used, Freddie spends his times writing things that he hopes will somehow pay the rent. He's also a former professional singer, and plays the saxophone and ukulele. He's not really used to talking about himself in the third person, and would like to stop now, thanks.
