4. Thor: Ages Of Thunder
There have been countless stories discussing Thor's adventures in Midgard during the present day, but rarely do we get to see the stories of his life before he became the Avenger we know today.
Ages of Thunder is the Marvel take on Norse Mythology, and consists of short stories detailing Thor's life through history. Entitled Ages of Fire, Reign of Blood, and Man of War - concluding with Thor's banishment to Earth - the book displays Thor's more brash and impulsive side, highlighting his personality before he became the humbled and worthy God of Thunder of today's comics.
Stories such as these are timeless, in that they are so disconnected from the main chronology that no matter what changes are made to the continuity, the stories will still be relevant.
You won't find a more worthy embellishment to the Odinson's mythos.
