10 Times Batman Was The Villain

9. All-Star Batman

Batman Grim Knight
DC Comics

Any comic book character who kidnaps a child, forces that child to eat live rats and bats, injures innocents through reckless abandon, sets people on fire (then has sex in front of their still burning bodies), and beats a superhero almost to death is undoubtedly a villain.

All of these actions are committed by Batman in the infamous All-Star Batman & Robin series - an elseworlds story centred around the titular dynamic duo. The elseworlds part would've made the entire thing more acceptable if the idea was to present Batman as some sort of horror character - the reality was far different, however.

No, this Batman was supposedly the same one from Batman: Year One and The Dark Knight Returns, a fact that really makes this incarnation seem all the more evil. Oh, Frank Miller, what happened to you, man?
