10 Times Batman Was The Villain

8. Seemingly Every Green Lantern Comic

Batman and Green Lantern aren't exactly opposites, particularly when the likes of John Stewart and Hal Jordan are concerned.

Think about it - Hal and John are generally presented as no-nonsense space cops, so Batman is basically the Earth-bound vigilante equivalent. Sure, Hal may not be as brood-y as Bruce is, but they're all similar authority figures.

And yet, in every Green Lantern book that Batman appears in, he is presented as being an obstacle that the Lanterns must overcome before they can complete their objective, even when the protagonist Lantern is Stewart or Jordan. The impediment that Batman always is to the ring-slingers often reduces their efficiency and therefore their ability to save lives/defeat villains.

Whatever the cost of that is, it's one Batman should pay. I mean, he can certainly afford it.
