10 Times Comic Book Heroes Became Villains (In A Big Way)

7. Wonder Woman: Injustice 2

DC and Injustice always provide plenty of ‘good guys gone bad’.

Although other members of the Justice League did spurn the dark side and ultimately wuss out and start repenting, like The Flash and Hal Jordan, there was one collaborator that turned evil ‘for the right reasons’ but then refused to come back to the winning team when the dust had settled: Wonder Woman.

Acting more or less as Superman’s super girlfriend during Injustice, her transformation into a villain had little motivation behind it in the grand scheme of things. Sure, Supes had the death of his wife and child to act as a catalyst, but Wonder Woman kind of just went along for the ride. When the Man of Steel got locked up at the end of the first Injustice, Wonder Woman kept crusading as the world’s most ferocious woman scorned.

It didn’t really make much sense, yet her new, evil nature continued into Injustice 2. She tried to make the newly arrived Supergirl a force for The Regime, saying that Batman was evil. Eventually Supergirl saw sense though and realised what the rest of the world knows to be true: Batman’s awesome.
