10 Times Iron Man Was A Real Jerk

3. When He Took His Toys Back

Superior Iron Man
Marvel Comics

When Tony learns that Force's armor is based on his designs, he realizes that some of his tech had been stolen before upgrading to his current suit of armor. After teaming up with Scott Lang, Tony learns that the Spymaster stole his designs, and gave them to none other than Justin Hammer.

He sets out to defeat anyone who was using his technology, and that included Shockwave, Doctor Doom, Stilt-Man, Shockwave, the Crimson Dynamo, Mauler, Controller, Professor Power, Titanium Man, the Raiders, and several more. His first target was Stilt-Man, and he easily defeated him with a negator pack, which is a device he can use to shut down Stark tech.

That's all well and good, but Tony doesn't set his sights solely on bad guys; he goes after agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as well. This brings him into direct conflict with Nick Fury and his organization, but he's not the only one Stark screwed over by taking back his armor designs.

He even went so far as to take the armor from the guards at the Vault, leaving them incapable of doing their jobs, which was guarding the world's incarcerated supervillains. His zealous need to reacquire his stolen tech pushes him to act recklessly and without regard for anyone else. If that's not being a jerk, what is?
