8. They Let Him Get Accused Of Murder

When Bruce Wayne publicly belittled Lex Luthor's company, Luthor had him framed for killing his girlfriend. After Bruce was convicted, he escaped prison and returned to patrolling Gotham as Batman.

Instead of proving his innocence, he abandoned his life as Bruce Wayne since he believed he would be a more efficient crimefighter if he was a superhero full-time. After several months, Batman came to his senses, proved his innocence of the murder, and reestablished his civilian life as Bruce Wayne.

However, there is no real explanation why the Justice League stayed out of the crime scene. The League were all over the murder of Elongated Man's wife, Sue Dibney. But when there is a murder in Gotham and Bruce Wayne is the prime suspect AND he refused to prove his innocence, you'd think the League would step in to look at the case. Flash could solve the case in seconds. Wonder Woman could use her Lasso of Truth on Bruce to prove he's not the killer. Superman actually shows up at one point but does nothing because Batman has to "figure this out by himself".

Sadly, this isn't the only time the Justice League refused to help put Batman...
