10 Times Justice League Ruined Batman's Life

7. They Didn't Help Him During No Man's Land

In the storyline, No Man's Land, an earthquake devastates Gotham, causing most civilians to evacuate. After the majority of the citizens escape, the bridges around the city are bombed by the government to trap the criminals inside the city. Batman does everything in his power to protect the remaining civilians while Gotham falls into anarchy.

The No Man's Land event went on for months and yet, the Justice League did nothing to help out. Did Wonder Woman or Green Lantern ever think of giving Batman a hand after his home city caved in?

Now, you could make up some explanation to justify the gang's absence. Maybe they were trapped in another dimension or were on a mission off-world. However, there is an issue in JLA (Justice League of America) where the group are seen monitoring Gotham's decimation and yet, they still choose not to intervene.

Sadly, the story concludes with the Joker murdering Commissioner Gordon's wife, Sarah. This death devastates Gordon, causing him to become disillusioned and untrusting, which effected his relationship with Batman for years. If the Flash or Superman passed by the city for a couple of seconds, they could have easily stopped Sarah's murder as well as many other tragedies.
