6. Clark Kent Kept Popping Up In Marvel Comics
The Man of Steel's civilian alter-ego actually has quite a habit of appearing in the Marvel Universe, frequently making lawyer-friendly cameos in the back of scenes.
One of his most obvious appearances was In The Mighty Thor #341. At this time, Thor could no longer transform into Donald Blake and so he needed a new civilian identity.
Nick Fury helped by creating him a new persona as Sigurd Jarlson, glasses wearing construction worker. The parallel to Superman disguising himself as Clark Kent is pretty obvious and even writer Walter Simonson thought so, to the point that he included a nod to it the issue.
On his way to a press conference, Sigurd accidentally walked into one of the reporters and sent his notes flying. After being helped up, the man who is very obviously Clark Kent stared at Sigurd and pondered why he looked so familiar.
An even more blatant cameo happened in Excalibur #8. In the issue, Captain Britain visited New York. As he flew through the sky, a crowd of people below exclaimed "Look! Uppinnasky! It's a boid! It's a plane! It's a guy!"
Next to them, a man named Clark turned to his girlfriend Lois and mentioned how great it was that New York had heroes everywhere.
