10 Times Superheroes Became Public Enemy Number One

For anyone unaware of Captain America's time in comics between 2017-2018, it can best be summed up as one of the rougher times in Steve Rogers' life. Not only did Red Skull manage to change reality itself to make the hero into a member of the villainous HYDRA organisation, but when Rogers finally manages to overcome his brainwashing, he's still blamed for actions he made as the Supreme Commander.

To top things off, after all this the good Captain is framed for the murder of Thunderbolt Ross, which lands him in prison. With both Steve and his loved ones aware that this sentence is one that may continue indefinitely, Sharon Carter then creates a plan to break the disgraced superhero out of his maximum-security prison.

While the plan succeeds, it also places Steve in hot water with pretty much every government official, which awkwardly puts him into conflict with the likes of folk such as Nick Fury.
