As one of the heroes that understand the complexities of time dynamics, Flash knows better than most how changing the timeline can lead to disaster. Even though Barry changed everything back, the timeline was still altered for a time by outside manipulation and the heroes had to endure the New 52 timeline. This change might not have been possible without Barry’s initial trip.
