10 Times Superman Fought Other Superheroes (And Who Won)

There are many debates that ring throughout in the halls of comic book fandom. Is Lex Luthor smarter than Doctor Doom? Is Deadshot more accurate than Bullseye? However, the biggest debate among hardcore and casual comic fans alike is the question of which is the better publisher - DC or Marvel.

While the answer always comes down to personal preference, each publisher has entertained this debate in the form of crossovers. In these crossovers, heroes from DC and Marvel team up to fight a common enemy or in some cases fight each other.

To the delight of many, JLA/Avengers takes the latter approach to a crossover rather than the former. A panel that blew the collective minds of comic book fans was the panel where Superman clashed with Marvel's God of Thunder, Thor - the bout on the Savage Land where the two heroes fought over an artifact of power.

The two exchange blows with Superman punching Thor with his fists and Thor slamming his hammer, Mjolnir onto Superman's chest. The two appear to be evenly matched until Superman blasts Thor with his heat vision and lands a punch that sends Thor flying across the island.
