10 Times Superman Fought Other Superheroes (And Who Won)

There are many powerful aliens whose strength and power rival and even surpass those of Superman. Among these powerful aliens is the Martian Manhunter. J'onn J'onzz is one of the few heroes in the DC Universe whose strength and speed are a match for the Man of Steel.

Martian Manhunter's full power was on display when he was one of the many heroes that went head to head with Superman in the Injustice: Gods Among Us storyline. During a battle with the Man of Steel and Wonder Woman, J'onn uses his powers of telekinesis to show Superman a vision of his own exile from Mars, in an attempt to show him the error of his ways. When Wonder Woman tries to intervene, J'onzz shapeshifts into a snake, before changing shape again in an attempt to hurt Wonder Woman internally.

Before the life is squeezed out of Diana, Superman uses his heat vision to kill the Martian Manhunter and free her. At the end of the battle, Wonder Woman reassures Superman if he had not intervened then she would have died. However, the expression on Superman's face shows he is conflicted over his actions.
